Babri Mosque

Indian Muslims have moved forward but Babri Mosque Scars remain ever fresh

“The destruction of Babri Mosque on 6 December 1992 by BJP led Hindu zealots symbolised the manner in which identities of Indian communities were politically used by the state.” Chairman of Council of Indian Muslims—UK (CIM) Mr Munaf Zeena has said in a statement issued today.

British Indian Muslims Remember Babri Mosque Express shock at Modi being absolved for his role in Gujarat Riots

“December 6 is the sad day that brings the painful memory of the perpetuation of injustice meted out to Indian Muslims.” Chairman of Council of Indian Muslims—UK (CIM) Mr Munaf Zeena has said in a statement issued today, marking the 18thanniversary of Babri Mosque demolition in Ayodya on 6 December 1992.

Indian Muslims move on! What?

Move on? What does that suppose to mean?

While the verdict on Babri Masjid seems to have disappointed most Muslims, our Hon'ble intellectuals, mostly Hindus, sympathising with Muslims, once again came out with a noble suggestion, “Move On”. Is the task of “Moving On” left only with the minorities of this country who, for the last sixty years, have always been at the receiving end after suffering from the menace of the majority community?

The Third Alternative for Secular India

Dr. Tayyaba Qidwai

I guess Minorities of India should learn the new definition of Secularism, which is – a concept which rejects all forms of religious faith and worship in its political and social system, but whose judicial system makes landmark judgements based on religious myths and legends !

How to Not Read the Ayodhya Judgement

HILAL AHMED

There are three areas which I think we need to underline.

A. Technical problem: The question of applied principles

I ask a very fundamental question: How could a modern secular judiciary- technically an institutionalized ‘interpreter’ of the Constitution- determine the legal disputes related to religious places of worship on the grounds of ‘faith-based’ evidences?

British Indian Muslims Dismayed at Babri Mosque Judgement

British Indian Muslims have expressed shock and dismay at yesterday’s court judgement in the Babri Mosque case.

“In this so-called judgement criminals have been rewarded for the crime of forcefully and illegally occupying on the night of 22 December 1949 and finally demolishing on 6 December 1992 the 16th century Babri Mosque and provoking anti-Muslim riots in which at least 3000 people were killed.” Chairman of Council of Indian Muslims (UK)—CIM, Mr Munaf Zeena,  said in a statement issued today.

Handover the Babri Mosque site to Muslims British Indian Muslims Demand

British Indian Muslims have urged the Indian government to hand over the Babri Mosque site to Muslims and let them rebuild the mosque there.

Marking the 17th anniversary of the demolition of Babri Mosque on 6 December 1992 in Ayodhya, the Chairman of Council of Indian Muslims—UK (CIM) Mr Mohammad Munaf Zeena said, “The demolition of Babri Mosque and Gujarat massacre are two of the most brazen crimes committed against Indian Muslims and the tragedy is that the perpetrators of these crimes are still roaming free.

What method in madness!

On 6th December 1992 Hindu zealots, led by Atal Bihari Vajpayee and L. K. Advani, demolished the 16th century Babri Mosque in Ayodhya claiming that it was the birthplace of their god Rama and wanted to build a temple in its place. The following article carried by Impact International, London, in its 13th March 1986 issue, provides an insight into the brazenness of the followers of fascist ideology of the Sangh Parivar. We are reproducing it for the enjoyment and information of the readers.
